Quintessential New England Summer

A family who is moving to New York asked me to capture some of the charm of living in Hingham. This shoot was a take off on the ice cream social fundraiser for the Hingham Community Center. We reserved some of the big waffle cones and set up shop at Nona's Homemade. It was a quick shoot - about an hour from start to finish - starting when the family entered the ice cream shop to when the ice cream was eaten! I took pictures of everything: from the kids standing on the ledge peeking at the variety of flavors, in the store, outside of the store, on the sidewalk. Eventually we ended up at the steps of the antique movie theatre down the street.

I absolutely loved capturing the nostalgia of Hingham. It was perfect. Kids eating ice cream in a quintessential New England town. It doesn't get much better than this.
